OERLIKON OVERCORD electrodo E FI 3,2 mm rutilo 141 uds.

Welders in fabrication shops, shipyards, and on-site repair crews rely on the OERLIKON OVERCORD rutile electrode for smooth, stable arcs and clean slag release. This 3.2 mm electrode delivers consistent performance in all positions, including vertical-down, making it a versatile choice for structural steel, general fabrication, and maintenance work on unalloyed and fine-grain steels.

Why choose it

The OVERCORD electrode offers excellent re-ignition and a stable arc with minimal spatter, reducing post-weld cleanup. Its self-releasing slag saves time on multi-pass welds, while the all-position capability—including vertical-down—provides flexibility for complex joints. With a yield strength over 380 MPa and impact toughness above 47 J at 0°C, it meets the demands of structural applications.

Ideal use cases

• General fabrication and structural steel welding
• Shipbuilding and offshore structures
• Repair and maintenance on unalloyed and fine-grain steels
• Workshop and site welding where AC or DC power is available

Good to know

Store electrodes in a dry, ventilated area to maintain coating integrity. If exposed to moisture, re-dry at 100–120°C for 1–2 hours before use. The 141-piece pack is convenient for high-volume jobs, and the 4.5 kg package is easy to handle on site.
