Cable HDMI ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 5 m

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 5m HDMI cable is a 5-metre black HDMI lead with standard HDMI Type A male connectors on both ends. It is designed to transmit digital audio and video signals between compatible devices, supporting a data transfer rate up to 8.16 Gbit/s and featuring gold-plated contacts to improve connection reliability. The cable is intended for home and office AV setups where a moderate-length HDMI connection is needed.

Advantages

This HDMI cable offers a straightforward way to connect displays, media players, gaming consoles and projectors while maintaining stable digital signal transmission. Gold-plated contacts reduce corrosion and help ensure consistent contact quality over time. The 5 m length provides flexibility in device placement without the need for extension adapters. Its standard Type A connectors make it compatible with a wide range of televisions, monitors and AV receivers that use the common HDMI interface.

Suitable for

• Connecting TVs and set-top boxes in living rooms
• Linking gaming consoles to monitors or TVs
• Connecting laptops or media players to projectors for presentations
• Home theatre and AV receiver connections where a 5 m run is required

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• Connector type: HDMI Type A (male) on both ends
• Maximum data transfer rate: 8.16 Gbit/s
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: black

How to use

Ensure both devices are powered off or in standby before connecting. Insert each HDMI Type A connector firmly into the HDMI ports of the source device (for example a set-top box, console or laptop) and the display device (TV, monitor or projector). After connection, power on the devices and select the corresponding HDMI input on the display. If the display does not immediately recognise the signal, check cable seating and input selection, then restart the source device if necessary.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid tightly coiling the cable and keep it away from strong electromagnetic sources. Use the 5 m length to plan device placement so the cable is not under tension. For resolutions and features beyond the listed data rate, verify compatibility with your devices and consider higher-specification HDMI cables if required.
